Beata Dragovics, CFP®, CEP®
Growing up in a small town near Budapest, Hungary, and living through two regimes behind the iron curtain gave Beata a unique perspective on freedom. “I lived in a world where the lack of freedom to practice your religion, spend your hard-earned money, or even speak your mind without fear was considered ‘normal,’” she says. These experiences inspire her today to help her clients realize that their freedom should fully align with their values. “I want to help give clients the freedom to shape their own lives while strategically planning for their future, so they feel confident with their financial health.”
Beata’s mother set an entrepreneurial example for her by opening her own CPA firm and encouraging Beata to study English and travel. Beata earned her bachelor's degree in business management from the Budapest Business School and moved to Boston.
She’s a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and earned her master’s degree in financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. After working at a major brokerage firm in Boston for more than 10 years, she established Freedom Trail Financial.
Community has always been an important part of Beata’s life. She values the way family and lifelong friends look after each other, and she brings this same perspective to her clients. “I strive to offer my clients not just my financial knowledge and experience, but also my caring and empathy to help them address their unique situation,” she says.
She holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. Her professional associations include the CFP Board of Standards, the Financial Planning Association (Pro-Bono Committee), the Boston Estate Planning Council, and the Boston Club. Beata also serves as a financial coach for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Patient Program and JVS, Boston. She serves on the board of Seeding Labs, a nonprofit with a mission to fight global diseases by empowering scientists in developing countries.
Beata has been featured in Boston magazine as a recipient of the 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2016 Five StarSM Wealth Manager Award.*
She lives with her husband and English bulldog in Norwell, Massachusetts. They love spending time on the North River, traveling, hiking the White Mountains, attending and supporting local theaters, and skiing. She is also an avid yoga fan and enjoys taking on new adventures such as playing the piano or trying out golf.
Director of Client Relationship
Nicole joined Freedom Trail Financial in 2017 and she instantly became an integral part of our team. She collaborates closely with Beata to help formulate effective and holistic financial plans that are customized to our clients’ needs. As our director of client relationship, we lean on Nicole’s extensive experience in financial planning and investment management research—coupled with her conscientious attention to detail—to deliver comprehensive and responsive client service.
Brought up in a household that consumed a wide range of music, Nicole’s interests turned toward the arts. She developed an affinity for design and fine art, which she taps into today to help us serve our clients’ unique needs. “Reflecting on a wide range of artists and art forms inspires me to create ideas and solutions for current situations, including the financial planning challenges many of our clients face,” she says. We are fortunate to have Nicole’s innovative problem-solving skills to help us address our clients’ complex estate planning, asset management, and comprehensive financial planning concerns.
Before joining our team, Nicole was a financial planner at Boston Research and Management, an independent advisory firm. There, she supported client relationships and provided wealth management advisory services alongside the firm’s principal and senior advisors. Before that role, Nicole worked as a sales operations manager at Spire Solar, a commercial solar engineering design and consulting firm based in Bedford, Massachusetts, and Taiwan.
Nicole is a passionate proponent for young women. Over the years, she has given her time and talents to various groups and organizations that encourage girls to embrace team sports, technology, the arts, and self-improvement.
Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, Nicole graduated from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in management. She also earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.
She lives in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood and is an advocate for girls and women in technology and investing. Nicole is a longtime member of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and she has volunteered for the local chapter of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. She is an avid reader and enjoys design, music, and comedy. Nicole continuously engages in lifelong education, learning, and healthy eating.
Director of Marketing and Communications
Marivic joined Freedom Trail Financial in 2021 and leads all our marketing and communication efforts. She is responsible for all educational materials, management of social media and digital platforms, and all aspects of communication outreach. Marivic works closely with Beata to ensure that we are providing our clients with the most up-to-date information.
Prior to joining us, Marivic’s roles included extensive experience in product management with Wells Fargo Bank, where she discovered her passion for marketing. After 13 years with Wells Fargo, she decided to pursue other areas of her life and moved from the Bay Area to Boston. Holding her passion for marketing close to her heart, she honed in on her skills and diversified her experience with MFS Investments Management. She then led the marketing and communication department for Boston University’s Howard Thurman Center during its expansion.
Marivic is also passionate about building women up and empowering them through using clean beauty products. She gets to run a small business with a community of like-minded women, who support each other through the ebbs and flows of life and encourage each other to challenge themselves for their own personal growth.
Marivic was raised in a Filipino-American family of seven. Needless to say, the household was consistently filled with laughter, loudness, and everything in between. She grew up in a very tight-knit family and community, which embodies her values of having authentic relationships. This has always played an integral part of her career, as many of her roles revolved around creating and establishing authentic relationships.
